Mishpochah - Family
Fam · i · ly : (n) The unit consisting of parents and their children; the children, as distinguished from the parents; persons related by blood or marriage; those who are descendants of a common progenitor; …a group of people or things with a common or related characteristic, function, or origin. - from the New Webster's Dictionary of the English Language.
According to the above, abbreviated, definition, if you have made it to this page you are probably part of our family - a group of people descending from a common source - Adam - and a group of people with a common characteristic - a deep and abiding love of the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
If you made it here by mistake, don't worry, if you hang around long enough you will realize that you really are and should be part of our Mishpochah. Our family is large and diverse, it encompasses people of every race and type, of every standing and stature, but the most wonderful thing about our family is - no matter how big it gets, there is always room for a couple of more!
So, pull up a chair, get comfortable and prepare to join in as we explore, discuss, debate, and yes…sometimes disagree, about everything and anything that is worth having an opinion about. Hopefully along the way you will gain insight and clarity and be able to provide both as well. We look forward to having you as part of our family - G-d's family and say "welcome and Shalom!"
